Everyone has a passion. My ideas for my passion blog come from two aspects of my life.
I am adopted from China. I have always sparked an interest in Chinese culture. I am not only interested in Chinese culture, but also Korean and Japanese. I watch anime and listen to Korean pop music. Asian cultures in general have always been an interest of mine.
Ideas I have for this passion blog include:

Ideas I have for this passion blog include:
- Report on old, and current, trends in China, Japan, and Korea using videos from Off The Great Wall. A YouTube channel that vlogs and produces skits about different Asian cultures.
- Researching different folktales and analyzing elements of the story and how they relate to that particular culture.

The other type of blog I have could write is one about Walt Disney World. I grew up going on many family vacations down to Orlando, FL. My parent's call me a "Disney baby" seeing as before I was a year old I had already had my first visit.
Some ideas I have for this blog include:
- The best places to go in Disney! I have been to every theme park (not including the water parks) and know many things about how to get around and what to visit first!
- FOOD! Everyone loves food, I know some of the best places to eat and some of the places that people normally overlook!
- History is another big thing! I love researching different facts about the Disney Parks and Disney movies! Finding Easter eggs is always fun!

I am leaning more towards the Disney blog, because I have more to say about that topic! But I feel like I could write about either! I would love the feedback so let me know in the comments below!

ReplyDeleteI can honestly say I know very little about either of these subjects, so either blog would be very informative for me personally. However, Asian culture may be more of an area that other people in class aren't as familiar with as perhaps they should be. With Asia’s growing influence in the global community, it’s important that we understand everything we can about their language, culture, and society.
I love both of these ideas! My favorite, however, is the option talking about Chinese, Japanese, and Korean culture. This is something that I personally, as well as probably many others, do not know a lot about. Also, considering that you were adopted from China, you have a unique perspective on the topic that not a lot of others do.
ReplyDeleteBoth ideas sound really interesting. Personally, I know almost nothing about the Chinese, Japanese, and Korean cultures so that would be really interesting to read about especially with your unique perspective. But, personally I think the Disney blog would be more fun fun to read and write about because there are so many hidden things within Disney that most people do not know about.
ReplyDeleteI personally prefer the topic about Asian culture, but I think that both topics could easily be engaging to your audience. If you do decide to do the Disney blog, I think that a guide from someone as experienced with the parks as you are would be the most interesting blog, as it would have a practical value as well as being interesting reading. The food and places to go blog ideas might go well together if you would rather have a broader focus on your passion blog.
ReplyDeleteBoth ideas are great seeing as you have a particular interest in each. I'd say go for the Asian Culture. It'd be quite interesting to read about especially since its part of your history. The youtube channel seems like it would make it quite easy to keep up with current trends and something that will always be interesting. But when in doubt the Disney blog would be fun to read because I've never been there!
